CHIPPING CAMPDEN and SEZINCOTE HOUSE

On one of the hottest days of the summer we arrived in the pretty Cotswold town of Chipping Campden relieved to find a slight breeze - and several lovely shops and cafes!   Several of us visited the fascinating silver smith workshop and the beautiful old church. From there we drove the short distance to Sezincote House. We all had a guided tour of the house, which was built in the Indian style in 1805 and was the inspiration for Brighton Pavilion.  It is set in a picturesque garden full of streams, ponds, elephants (!) and far reaching views.

Thank you Penny for a most enjoyable day.
